The Defense is Back!

The Celtics are back to playing elite defense with the anchor Kevin Garnett back from injury. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are doing all the heavy lifting on offense right now as Garnett works his way back and Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Daniels define their roles. Rajon Rondo just inked the extension today that didnt look like would ever happen after this past summer, Rondo is doing a great job on the court spreading the ball but needs to be more aggressive finding his own shot.

The Celtics losing to Indy again this season on Saturday was surprising, more surprising was the lack of energy especially of the defensive end. Rondo needs to be a little more aggressive looking for his own shot, Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace need to post up more, Garnett doesnt look like the same player to me on either end of the floor.

heres a trade rumor ive heard

Celtics Season Preview

The Celtics are built to regain the title they won in 2008. The additions of Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Daniels give Boston even more depth and a chance to cut down the minutes of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Garnett must prove he is healthy after missing 25 games and the entire playoffs last season. The only bright side to Garnett being injuried last season was how the younger guys stepped up in his absence. Rajon Rondo looked like an all star in the playoffs, Glen Davis averaged 15.8 points per game during the playoffs and gives the Celtics another player they trust in the front court. The Celtics should be the NBA’s top defensive team after ranking third last season.
